These familiar activities will cover handicrafts like leatherwork and paracord, as well as first aid and compass games. A large part of this village will include pioneering at another level. Activities in this village will include:
A large part of the Scouting America program includes youth and adults alike sharpening their leadership skills to effectively lead packs, troops, crews and ships. Of course, a celebration of Scouting America and the USA has to include aquatic activities. All participants will have the opportunity to fish with the help of the experienced Cradle of Liberty Council fishing staff. There will also be the opportunity to paddle (youth 7 and older) or be a passenger (youth 5 and 6) in a canoe. Restrictions on swimming ability for the canoeing activity will be shared as we get closer to the event.
This village will highlight modern First Responders, their equipment, and how they prepare to keep us safe and respond when we are in danger. This is a don’t-miss village for learning how these everyday heroes do what they do. The activities in this village will include:
This village is aimed at Scouts 16 and older, although there will be things to see for participants of all ages. This village will excite the adventurer in you and will include the following activities.
The Cradle of Liberty Council Program Partners are local organizations/businesses that not only support the Scouting program but also offer opportunities that participants will want to learn more about. The midway will host representatives from these Program Partners, giving you a chance to learn how to participate in their activities and avail yourself of available discounts. A list of COL Program Partners being highlighted at the 2026 Liberty Jam will be available as we get closer to the event.
A large part of the Liberty Jam program will feature shows, live music, and content at the band shell at Green Lane Park. Local bands and shows will keep us entertained throughout the day, with opportunities to participate in fun contests such as the Scout Bugle and Air Guitar competitions. The Saturday program at Liberty Jam will commence with a closing ceremony that is sure to end the day on a high note. A list of all acts and how to sign up for the contest will be shared with registered participants as we get closer to the event.
