Scouting America is discontinuing its national STEM Nova and Super Nova Awards program. Our council will continue to create and administer its own STEM award programs. This change took effect on June 1, 2025. With this change, NOVA and SuperNOVA counselors and awards will no longer be added to ScoutBook. In the fall, our council’s STEM committee will provide more information on the initiatives we will undertake to continue STEM education in the Cradle of Liberty.
Scouting America developed the STEM Nova Awards program to excite and expand a sense of wonder in our Scouts. By working with an adult counselor or mentor, the various modules allow them to explore the basic principles of STEM and discover how fun and fascinating STEM can be. The Supernova awards are offered for those who enjoy a super challenge. Discover how the STEM Nova Awards program helps youth be “Prepared. For Life.”
Please submit earned Nova and Super NOVA Awards at this link. Scoutbook has ended the ability to add these awards to thier platform. By doing so, our Council can keep track of earned awards and use toward sharing achievement success – especially for our Scout Districts that want to know STEM impact.
Awards that have been earned after June 1st 2025 can be entered.
