Scholarships

A variety of College Scholarships are available for outstanding scouts. Each scholarship sponsor sets their own eligibility requirements, criteria and submission deadlines.

Cradle of Liberty Council Eagle Scout Scholarship

The Eagle Alumni Committee of the Cradle of Liberty Council is pleased to award scholarships to Eagle Scouts from the Cradle of Liberty Council.  To be eligible, candidates must be graduating high school in and enrolled in college or a post-high school technical school in the fall of the calendar year that they are applying for the scholarship. All Eagle Scout scholarship applicants must be an Eagle Scout, meaning all requirements have been met, and the Board of Review has approved the individual to be an Eagle Scout prior to applying for this scholarship.

Any eligible Scout is encouraged to apply and an application by the Eagle Scout themselves is a prerequisite to being considered for a scholarship. If a formal application is submitted by anyone other than the Eagle Scout, it will not be considered.  All applications must be submitted online. All required supporting documents must be in PDF format and uploaded

PLEASE NOTE – It is not required that an applicant Eagle Scout be nominated by a Unit Leader, however, this submission is certainly helpful to the committee in evaluating an applicant’s candidacy.

The applicant Eagle Scout must include a 500-word essay on how becoming an Eagle Scout has helped you help others.  This must include a statement of life goals.

The deadline for applying for the 2025 Scholarship is midnight Friday, April 18, 2025.  No new applications will be considered after that date.
