Dollars for Doers

Does your employer have a Dollars for Doers Program?

GOOD NEWS!!!

YOU CAN EARN MONEY FOR YOUR LOCAL UNIT AND THE COUNCIL!

Cradle of Liberty Council is pleased to announce a program that designates a portion of your workplace giving to a unit of your choice.

Volunteers/employees can designate a unit to receive a 20% Council credit for each dollar raised through their employer’s Dollars for Doers program contribution ($100 minimum).

Credits can be used for:

  • Council programs and camps
  • Scouting uniforms, patches, and equipment
  • Volunteer training

Dollars for Doers is essentially a matching gift program whereby a company makes a donation based on employee volunteer hours multiplied by an hourly rate. These programs are sometimes referred to by other names such as:

  • Volunteer grants
  • Dollar for hour
  • Matching time
  • Volunteer matching
  • Grants for time
  • Matching gift per hour
  • Credit per hour
  • Service credit
